Inkling: Our Open-Weights Model

Inkling is an open-weights, multimodal transformer with 975 billion total parameters (41 billion active) and a context window of up to 1 million tokens, pretrained on about 45 trillion tokens across text, images, audio, and video. A lighter Inkling-Small with 12 billion active parameters is released alongside, and Inkling is available for fine-tuning on the Tinker platform, which also includes an Inkling Playground for developers. The model is described as a broad generalist designed for customization across domains, with capabilities in coding, reasoning, instruction-following, and multimodal tasks, and it supports controllable thinking effort and an encoder-free approach for audio/vision inputs.
